#64 – Start A Blog

Starting a blog is something I’ve wanted to do for a while. The problem is that I really didn’t have anything interesting to say. I couldn’t be one of those “look-at-me,” “look-at-me” bloggers that post about their thoughts on Twilight, show off their newest outfit, and complain about whatever the injustice of the day is. (No offense intended if you are one of those bloggers, it’s just not for me.)  My work doesn’t give me much to blog about, unless you want to hear a lot about color management in the printing industry, so a professional blog was out of the question. I’m not flamboyant enough for a fashion or celebrity blog, so that was crossed off the list too. I gave up, deciding that my life was just too boring to warrant a blog.

Then after running across the 101 things in 1001 days challenge (www.dayzeroproject.com), and seeing how it produced some really great blogs, I found the inspiration. Is it a bit narcissistic and show-offy, sure, but at least there’s a purpose. Besides, I happen to be a tad narcissistic and quite a bit show-offy. Some might argue that this really didn’t deserve to be on the list since it goes hand in hand with the list, but I could have went the paper/pen/journal route . Besides updating this blog will be a pretty big job over the next year, I deserve a little credit.

I’m really looking forward to learning more about creating a better blog and hope that by the end of the year I have one to be proud of.

So, here it is and task #64 is completed.

I think the link you meant to post is http://www.dayzeroproject.com/. The one you posted leads elsewhere. Your blog and experiment are great! Keep it up!

Thank you for pointing out the issue with the link it’s been fixed, and you’re right, I did want the dayzeroproject. At least the first link didn’t go to anything risque, that could have been embarrassing. 🙂

      Thanks again!

i love your blog! i’m glad that you decided to start one, and that i’ve found it. i think it’s a great idea, and a wonderful way to set goals for yourself, and also go about achieving them!
being able to look back and see where you started will be very rewarding i’m sure. 🙂
